Welcome to our Basketball FAQs. Here you’ll find quick answers to common questions about our age groups, training times, location, and what to expect when joining. Whether your child is new to basketball or already has experience, this section is designed to help you find the information you need easily.
What age groups do you support?
We support players from age 7 up to 17, with groups organised by age to help everyone train at the right level. Our current youth groups are:
- U10: 7–10 years — Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 PM
- U13: 11–12 years — Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00 PM
- U15: 13–14 years — Wednesdays, 7:00–8:00 PM
- U18: 15–17 years — Thursdays, 7:00–8:30 PM
We also offer a Social Ball Ladies session on Wednesdays from 8:00–9:00 PM.
How do I pay fees?
Currently we accept two types of payments via money transfer IBAN or cash.

*** Important: Please include your name in the payment reference so we can record it correctly. Keep a copy of your payment confirmation and email it to [email protected] or upload it to a club membership form. Please bring your payment confirmation to the first training session.
Alternatively, you may pay in cash on the spot. If paying by cash, please bring the exact amount, as staff may not be able to provide change.

Do I Need to Renew my Basketball Ireland BIPIN every year?
Yes, it is mandatory for every player to renew their BIPIN number annually before joining the club. The benefit of registration is that you, or your registered child, are covered by the club’s insurance for in-club activities, as well as external activities such as playing in the national leagues.
How to register player with Basketball Ireland (bipin)?
Please note that, due to insurance policy regulations, our club cannot take responsibility for any players who are not registered with Basketball Ireland.
- Registration with Basketball Ireland is mandatory for all members in order to participate in club activities.
- Once you complete registration, please send us your BPIN number at your earliest convenience, and preferably include it in the club registration form.
- Players who do not provide the required registration details including BIPIN number will unfortunately not be allowed to attending sessions!
Please follow steps to register BIPIN No.
- Visit https://ireland.basketball/registration.
- Open “Guide to Register as Individual” and follow the step-by-step instructions.
- In the Membership Type field, select NEBB.
- In the Select Club dropdown, choose Ashbourne Raptors.
- Once your registration is complete, please save your confirmation for your records.

Open positions include Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager.
